Season Tune Up
Does your dog need a little extra work to get him ready for the hunting season?
Requirements: Dog must have completed either our gun dog training program or another formal gun dog training program. Self-trained dogs must undergo a skills evaluation to see if they are a good fit for this program. (The evaluation lasts approximately one hour and costs $60.)
Duration: Variable — typically 2-4 weeks
Price: $600/month (includes birds; owner to provide food and any medications)
Curriculum: This program is meant to offer a pre-season tune up for your dog’s previous training, not to teach him new skills (for which we have other training programs available). Program can cover such things as bird-finding and tracking, obedience, whistle commands, quartering and casting, marking and multiple retrieves, blind retrieves, backing/honoring, etc.
